This is the Handjdrök collection created by ceramist Cindy Heldens-van Aarssen. She developed this line in the middle of the covid 19 pandemic when she started guiding artists and craftsmen with disabilities in their creative process at Atelier Galerie Kempro in the Netherlands.
On her first day at work, Cindy wondered how she could meet and connect with clients and colleagues without shaking hands?
She made clay tubes and asked everyone to shake hands with her by squeezing in the clay tube.
Most people made a beautiful and unique print in the clay. Some crabbed the clay tube with both hands. Every print made was beautiful. The first meeting and shaking hands with clay had made an indelible impression.
After this ”handshaking” Cindy had a whole stack of clay tubes with prints in her studio. These tubes have become the inspiration for the further development of the Handjdrök collection.
Cindy has developed a Handjväske (vase) and a Handjvlämke (candleholder) into a DIY product. Dutch names for products that originated in the Netherlands.
The whole proces of making DIY Handjdrök products is done by craftsmen with disabilities in the ceramic studio in Sterksel in the Netherlands.

Take the tube of clay out of the box, leave the foil and stick and squeeze firmly

Fill in the form in the box with your personal preferences

Put the tube of clay (including foil and stick) together with the folder back in the box and bring it to the store or gallery where it was purchased or send it (free of charge) by post in an extra shipping box to:

After a few weeks your unique homemade Handjväske or Handjvlämke will be ready to be picked up or sent to the
